How to reach your goals?

How to reach your goals?

5 tips on how to reach your dream goals!

1. Be clear about your goals

Don’t confuse the universe, don’t confuse God, don’t confuse yourself. Don’t aim for one thing out loud, but in your head be aiming for a different goal. Make sure your goal is written down and visible EVERYWHERE YOU GO! Your goals should be written down everywhere you look. Write your goals in your journal, stick sticky notes on your mirrors and on the fridge, make your goals the background on your phone. Your eyes should not be able to move for more than five seconds without seeing your goals!

The Sage Journal suggests ways in which you can effectively set out and plan your goals!

2. Believe in your goals

If you don't believe you will reach your goals, you never will. You must manifest. You must feel what it is like to reach your goals before you get there.

One way of ensuring your goals are set in stone, is by declaring them to your nearest and dearest. If you don't believe in yourself, no on else will. Share your goals with pride and passion!

3. Go for your goals, and don’t stop until you’re there, because if you stop, you will never reach the end.

It’s really easy to get off to a good start when setting goals, and then loose momentum shortly after. Are you someone who, at the beginning of the year, set a goal and said “This is going to be my year! I’m going for it and nothing is going to stop me” and by February were already telling yourself “Eh, next year will be my year”?

Here's a little something to keep in mind - your mindset will not change overnight. Waiting for the "right time" or telling yourself now is the time for a "new you"does not magically change your mindset. What are you waiting for? Really... what are you waiting for!

You need to continually be going for your goals, and be in the mindset that even if you haven’t reached your goal by the end of the month or the end of the year, you are working so consistently that there is no doubt you will reach your goals.

4. Don't compare your progress

Comparing yourself to others is a heavy form of self sabotage. There is no soul on this earth that is similar, let alone the same. We all have different beliefs, different morals and different ideas of success. Everyone will work at their own pace, and progress at their own time.

Remember: you will never see the full picture. Just like how others will be unable to see all of your hard work and dedication towards your goals, including the hardship and all the bumps in the road. That person you are comparing yourself to, will never show their full picture. You don't want their picture, you want your own.

5. No goal is too big

Someone once said, "If you aren't embarrassed to tell people your dreams, they aren't big enough".

Don't settle for less because you think you'll be more accepted. Don't lower your standards because you are afraid people will think you are mad. Don't belittle your goals because you are afraid they are "too big".

No goal is too big, no dream is too crazy.
